The Portland Puppet Museum opened in May 2012 in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, Oregon. It is one of only a few museums in the nation dedicated to the history and preservation of the art of puppetry. We have featured over 50 different exhibits in the past decade. Each exhibit showcases between 200 to 400 puppets of all sizes and kinds, plus puppet memorabilia from around the world. The Portland Puppet Museum also offers live shows, puppet displays, and puppet-building workshops and has a gift shop. Museum is located at 906 SE Umatilla St Portland Oregon 97202 and is open Thurs-Sun from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Donations fund admission to the museum, but we charge for our shows and workshops.
